Getting to Hereford
Being just 16 miles from Wales, there are good train links from Hereford railway station to Cardiff and South Wales. The line also connects with many other areas, such as Worcester, London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Those travelling to Hereford by car will be able to use the A49 trunk road, the A465 and the A438 roads.

You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to the number of events that run in Hereford throughout the year. These include summer events such as the Wyeside Music Festival in June and the Hereford Kit Festival in July. Meanwhile, later on in the year, there is the Cidermaking Festival and Hereford Photography Festival.
After some sight-seeing? Then you definitely won’t have trouble in Hereford as there are many cultural sites to check out. These include the Hereford Museum Art Gallery, where fine art and artefacts from the local area are on display. You can also pay a visit to Hereford Cathedral, which dates back to 1079. The Hereford Cider Museum is also a definite must to see the history and process of this yummy beverage!
However, if it’s something energetic you are after, then there is only one place you need to head to – Oaker Wood Leisure. This local attraction offers a whole range of fun activities, including paintballing, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, trekking and raft building.
