Tonbridge and Malling borough is situated in the north west of the county of Kent, the garden of England, incorporating the town of Tonbridge and a number of smaller towns and villages.
Getting to the area
The borough is exceptionally well serviced by rail with six major routes operating throughout the area. Connections can be made to London, Hastings, Ashford International, Tunbridge Wells and Hastings. By road, three major motorways converge on the area; the M2, M20 and M26.
The Tonbridge Arts Festival is held in the first week of July and culminates in three days of fantastic outdoor concerts at Tonbridge Castle Tonbridge Football Fiesta is held in July and is a great celebration of the sport for the whole family.
Activities in the area
Rock UK has a centre in Carroty Wood. They offer accommodation and catering, have a huge range of activities on offer including high rope courses. They specialise in group packages and will tailor activities to suit all needs Hovercraft Adventures provide adrenaline-fuelled days of hovercraft racing for groups or small parties. The Wright Event offers a massive list of outdoors activities. Archery, quad biking, 4x4 off-roading, and clay pigeon shooting are just some of what’s on offer. Tailored corporate days and team building packages are also available.
Comprising so many country villages it’s no surprise that quaint country pubs abound in the area. The Kentish Rifleman is a particular highlight. Dating back to 1552, the pub offers good food and ale. Amore Libero serves traditional Italian fare with an added bonus of Elvis tribute nights. The Portuguese grill house is a particular local favourite; a traditional Portuguese restaurant and patisserie serving impressive, authentic food.
