Dalkeith is a small town located eight miles to the south east of Edinburgh, it was founded in 1401 and currently has a population of over 12,000 people. Its most well-known landmark is Dalkeith palace, a 12th century castle and many heritage buildings can be found in the old town area.

Getting to Dalkeith
