Culture

The Fergusson Gallery is home to the largest collection of art work by the late Scottish artist John Duncan Fergusson. If you would like to discover more about the history of Perth a visit to the Perth Museum and Art Gallery is a must. From April to September you can enjoy a spot of horse racing at the Perth Racecourse, Scone Palace. The racecourse is proud to have a rich history of horse racing for more than 100 years.

Perth is home of some fantastic bars and pubs. Night life is vibrant with a great live music scene. You can enjoy some traditional Scottish music in many of the local bars and pubs and every year, Perth hosts Scotland's biggest music festival T-in-the-park.

Getting to Perth is easy. Located close to Edinburgh and Glasgow, Train links and airport links are regular and reliable.

Road

If travelling by road, you can travel direct to Perth from Edinburgh via the M90, M9 and A9. Travel from Glasgow is probably the quickest road route into Perth. There are plenty of car hire companies available to visitors if you have lots of traveling planned for your trip.

Rail

If your preferred mode of transport is train, then you can rest assured that the rail network is good. There are direct links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and many towns in the area. If travelling from London, you can get on the train and be in Perth in less than 7 hours. There is also the option of the sleeper train from London if you want a stress free trip.

Air

Travelling to Perth via air is pretty straight forward. You can get a direct flight into Glasgow airport from all over the globe, it is then a simple trip by road or rail to the city centre.
