If you’re looking for a place where you can be out in nature as well as enjoy the nightlife, Walsall is the place for you. Walsall is an industrial town of about 67,500 and located eight miles north-west of Birmingham.
How to Get to Walsall
There are many ways to get to Walsall. It is surrounded by three main motorways and has a train station as well as two bus stations. You can even arrive by water, the Walsall Canal ends at the north part of town.
Daytime Activities in Walsall
If you love nature, Walsall is the place to be. A large part of it is covered by countryside where you can explore and hike through a number of parks and nature preserves.
The people of Walsal love sports. Here you can catch a game of football, rugby, cricket or hockey. There was once a professional race track, but the only racing now is go karting at Ace Karting Plus.
Be sure to visit The New Art Gallery where you can view both historical and contemporary art. Here you’ll see works by Sir Jacob Epstein as well as Van Gogh, Monet and Renoir.
Nightlife in Walsall
Walsall does have a nightlife, but be warned, most of the bars and pubs have a 3.5 rating due to a lot of love and a lot of hate. Even so you can enjoy live music at the Wharf 10 Bar or dance the night away at R1 Bar. If you like to gamble there is a Grosvenor Casino in town.
