Horsham, West Sussex
Horsham is an historic town in West Sussex located 18 miles north of Brighton and around 30 miles south west of London. Horsham has great access to a number of dual carriageways nearby including the A24 and A264 which makes commuting to Dorking and Worthing easy. You also have the M23 nearby giving you easy commute to the North including London and the A23 which will give you access to Brighton.
Horsham is a fairly large town in West Sussex with a population of round 55,000 people. The town itself has a great economy with the large amount of businesses that operate in the area. It has had some interesting trades running through it through out the centuries, including horse trading, brick making and even brewing as of late. Most of these still exist though are in a much smaller scale.
One centre piece of the town is Horsham park which 24 hectares of open space for public recreational use. It has a maze formal gardens and even an 18th century country house which is partly used by the council. There are also leisure facilities located on one side of the park with a swimming pool and even a skate park.
Horsham has a little museum serving the towns history. With number of ever changing exhibitions and collections you will always find new things to discover about the towns past. It has been collecting artefacts for its collections since the late 1800's but it has only been recently that the focus of the artefacts being collected has been changed. You will discover everything from fine art and photographs to costumes and crafts from locals past and present. There are many stories to tell and Horsham museum has plenty to entertain you with.
If you are into festivals then why not take a visit to the B52's. Formed in 2012 the festival aims to provide a platform for local musicians, semi professional and amateur to gain exposure and entertain the people of Horsham. It is held annually in the Human Nature garden in Horsham park and is usually on 3pm till 6pm on event day though is subject to change. There is also a number of other attractions going on too ranging from face painting to circus workshops and a small selection of stalls selling cakes and all sorts of things. So if you like small and friendly events then this will make a great visit.

a great atmosphere, tasty food and a great selection of beers, cocktails and fine wines what more could you want. It has great events running through the year including themed events, rock nights, acoustic nights, poker and even bingo so there is always a great variety of entertainment going on!
