Trowbridge Activities and Things to Do
There has been a market in Trowbridge since 1200 and even today this small town has markets that attract people for miles around. Located on the River Biss Trowbridge grew up on the cloth and farming industries and is close to some of Wiltshire’s major attractions. It is renowned as being a Baron town after its local gentry forced King John to sign the Magna Carta and today Wiltshire is the only county in England where you can see both a Baron town and a copy of the Magna Carta.
