If you are thinking that you would like a little more space for your group while you stay in Edinburgh, then you might want to consider booking and apartment for the group. You have a number of options available to you: we have large party pads which can accommodate all of you in one property, but these are few and far between and get booked up very early. We also have apartment blocks where we book the number of apartments that your group needs: this solution is ideal if you are uncertain of your numbers early on and want flexibility to increase or decrease them as time goes by.
The advantage of an apartment compared to a hotel or hostel is that you get more space and you get more leeway to do things: for a example, if you are planning to book a butler in the buff then you can plan some drinks and hors d'oeuvres before your night out that are served to you by the Butler.
We have apartments all across town. We have a small block of apartments on the Royal mile just below the castle, there are some great apartments in Leith overlooking the sea with amazing views out of the windows and we have a block of apartments in the Newtown that can accommodate huge groups in apartments for four and six.
The Dreaded Bond
All our apartment providers now ask for good behaviour bonds which are paid at the beginning of the weekend in cash and then returned to you at the end if there have been no problems or damages. The bond is a good way of keeping everybody on the right side of legal.
How to accommodate the mother-in-law
If you have mothers-in-law or older relations who are planning to share the party fun, we often recommend that you accommodate them in their own apartment or in a separate hotel since they tend to leave the party earlier than you and need their 40 winks. It's a great way to avoid being cramped later on when they want to sleep and you want to continue partying.
